We believe we have the most comprehensive musical instrument repair service in the country. There is nothing too big or too small, we are just as ‘at home’ doing a tune on a clarinet as we are doing a complete rebuild on a warped guitar. Once submitted we will respond asap. Then all there is to do is to get the instrument to us, we can even arrange collection.

All the prices below are only estimates. As each repair is unique we can only give you the final quote once we have seen the instrument in question.
All repairs are covered by a three month guarantee on work carried out only. Proof of repair will be necessary for guarantee work to be carried out e.g.invoice.

A regular set up is important to maintain playability
The guitar is a precision instrument. To get the best from your guitar it must be set up to suit your playing style and preferences.
Guitar action is not just about string height. It’s about the way a guitar feels when you play it. Factors that affect the action include the amount of neck relief, the nut height as well as the string height.
A guitar should have at least one professional set up each year.
A normal set up includes:-
- full evaluation of guitar
- check and fix any loose frets
- polish frets
- adjust neck relief
- check and adjust nut slots - lubricate with graphite (if required)
- clean and lubricate the bridge
- adjust tremolo action to owner's preferences (if required)
- check and adjust bridge saddles
- set bridge height
- set intonation
- adjust pickup height (if required)
- check and tighten all screws
- lemon-oil rosewood fretboard if necessary
- clean and polish guitar body
- fit new strings
- Tune up and check to good playing order
A fret dress, if required, will be carried out for an additional charge after consultation with the owner
Cost of setup £30-£40+VAT
Other repairs include:-
- replacing bridges, saddles and top nuts
- Full or partial refrets
- broken neck/headstocks etc.
